Warren Buffett lunch sells for record US$2.11m

He will not give me stock tips or new investment techniques. Will I bid US $ 2.11 mln to have lunch with W. Buffett? Personally, a big no. It's because he is such an absolute consistent guy. He will say the same things from Omaha to New York to London to Frankfurt to Dalian or Seoul. What he said are all in his letters to shareholders. Download all of them, read them and meditate them -- start from 1977 today.

When he look for his replacement, he is looking for someone already has that genetic code avoiding serious mistakes including those have not been happened yet. He is looking for a Mozart or Chopin who can play master pieces at the age of five. I don't think I have any of those qualities he is looking for. But if I cannot beat him or get hired during lunch, I can buy Berkshire Hathaway. He will manage my money for free. That US $ 2.11 million will grow to US $ 1.1 billion in 40 years at 17% annual compounded return. A good way to compound money and give it away as charity - US $ 1.1 billion. How nice if I have that $ 2.1 million. How nice!

(Business Times) NEW YORK - It takes millions to have lunch with someone who control billions.
The winner, Zhao Danyang, a general manager at Pure Heart China Growth Investment Fund, won the right to dine with Mr Buffett

A bidder agreed to pay US$2.11 million to have lunch with billionaire Warren Buffett, more than triple last year's record for the annual charity auction.

The winner, Zhao Danyang, a general manager at Pure Heart China Growth Investment Fund, won the right to dine with the 76-year-old chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, a spokesman at the Glide Foundation said.
